"Fiber In Bloom"

This wall hanging shows my experimentation with using a flower technique where you create little clouds of merino fiber to create flower blooms. It's my first horizontal piece. Currently it is a wall hanging - attached to a wooden dowel. But it could be custom matted and framed.

This piece incorporates wet and nuno felting with wool, silk, bamboo, and viscose fibers, art yarn and mohair locks. Once felted, I embellised with glass beads.
